The KN6500 gives you everything you could want from a keyboard. The super sized colour LCD screen guides you round the features of the keyboard with simplicity and ease. For example if you require a big band rhythm simply hit the button marked Big Band and you have a screen full of big band styles - each one superb, with precise full sounding backings. Each backing has 4 variations and allows you to have full expressive control of the music, making your keyboard sound more realistic than ever. The entire backing section is first class. Technics have completely re-voiced this keyboard and added their new NX-sound, which gives the instruments that extra level of realism. There are 1008 sounds on this keyboard and all of them are excellent. The 33 drum kits range from normal kits through to electronic and special effects. The drawbar sounds have been improved and the new wide LCD means they all fit on screen at once. In addition to everything else you have a music stylist section. By selecting this option you can pick your sound and style from a whole host of musical eras. This means you can choose the style of music you want to play and then go one step further and choose which band you want to play with - for example James Last , Bert Kaempfert etc. This eliminates the need for loads of registration disks and makes playing the keyboard relaxing and enjoyable. On the left of the keyboard is a sound controller which looks like a tracker ball. This allows you to change the way a sound plays. For example by selecting a trumpet and moving the ball, you can have a sharp or mellow sounding trumpet, and the ball can change the characteristics of every sound on the keyboard, giving you an unlimited number of voices. The Brassalizer feature allows you to hum a note through a microphone and the keyboard plays it - whatever next!!
